Gardner Bug Indicators
I have used many of hangers, swingers etc throughout the years that i have been carp fishing but I’ve never been able to say I’m totally happy with it. I believe Gardner have came up with the answer.
On the first session of using the Micro Bug i was impressed with the way you could adjust the tension of the line clip to suit how tight/slack you wanted your line with ease. A small ring that runs up and down the antennae, which has small sections for the ring to slide onto. The tighter you want the line clip to hold your line the higher the ring and the opposite if you want the clip gripping loose. Also with the extended antennae this allows you to fish slack lines avoiding wind bleeps all day long. Great idea because there is nothing worse than trying to get your head down at night but not being able as you are being kept awake with unwanted bleeps. If you’re wanting to fish tight lines while on the bank just simply pass the line through the clip so then the bobbin will be running.
For all you tackle tarts out there who like to change the colour or style of you bobbin every other week, Gardner can meet you demands. Different colour heads to cover pretty much every colour your alarm led is if you like to have them matching. The bug also comes with 15cm anti-rust ball chain in black which is new , a 30cm chain is also available. You can get 4 different sizes in the range. mini,micro,mega and maxi to suit a variety of fishing conditions you may come across on the bank. There is also a good range of accessories for the bug. From extra weights to the betalights designed for the bug.
Overall i was very impressed with the micro bugs that i used and will be using them from now on. I had no complications/tangles throughout the session. Already recommended them to a few of my fishing pals and they also are very happy with what Gardner have done.
Get to you local tackle shop and get a set. Great piece of kit too add to the armoury.
