Fishable is the new home of carp fishing, on the site you will find everything you need to know about if your a fisherman of any level, everything from tactics, venues, baits and reviews of tackle and products as well as our personal accounts of our fishing antics!
On the site we have lots of great stuff, a fishing forum, directory, videos and our fishopedia section. If there is something you need to know about fishing, be it rig tying techniques, where to fish or information about your favourite fisherman then it will be in here. If not, let us know and we will send one of our authors to investigate and write up on the subject, just lets us know using the contact form.
History of Fishable
The foundations of Fishable lie right back to several years ago when I launched my first website, which is still live I believe on one of these free website jobbies, it was awful but it got my foot on the ladder and served its purpose. Next came the success of www.carpit.co.uk, that website grew like mad, from an idea in February 2 years ago to 1000 visits per day 6 months later. Carpit was a great website with lots of information but again it was a step in right direction, now we have Fishable, a far more professional and performance driven website.
The Owner Danny Chapman (me!), is an avid fisherman, web marketing specialist and lives on Google bashing! As I sit here finishing this page a couple of weeks after I started it Fishable is flying, we have got over 200 unique visitors per day 10 days in a row now and only 3 weeks after going live, that’s an amazing achievement, it took carpit 3-4 months to hit that total.
The ongoing growth is testament to the work that everyone has put in, a combination of myself and Reece have put the site together and contribute daily to its running. Thanks go out to the others that have been involved, James Smithy Smith for his work writing the eBook that is soon to be with you and the others who have contributed with articles, sharing the word on Facebook and Twitter. I’m sure there are plenty of other chances for you all to be involved in the future and I look forward to working with you.
